we don't rely on github anymore either. we run a tiny Forgejo instance of our own at git.agorise.net so maybe you could even just have a repo on the blurt official gitlab account? either way you go, people will trust much more if the foss is readily available, issues and pr's can be submitted etc.

Try the new Peertube mobile app. I have not tried it personally, but I know they have been building it out for over a year so it's pretty solid by now I'm sure. In the Blurt chatroom on matrix ( there are a few other people who only use mobile as well, and they could give their advice.
