After the postponement of the Indian Premier League, the BCCI has set a strict guideline for the upcoming tour of England for India.

Actually, the Indian Premier League was going well, then the 29th match of the Indian Premier League played on 2 May between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, followed by the 30th match of the Indian Premier League had to be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 3rd May in the evening, suddenly bad news came in the afternoon on the same day, two players of Kolkata Knight Rider Varun Chakravarthy And Sandeep Warrier was found to be COVID-19 positive, which led to the match being canceled, then the next day the 31st match was to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians, then another bad news came in the meantime, Sunrisers Hyderabad player Wriddhiman Saha, Delhi Capitals player Amit Mishra, Chennai Super Kings's bowling coach L. Balaji, and a team member of Chennai Super Kings were found to be COVID-19 positive, after which the entire Indian Premier League was postponed for the time being. Even after postponing the Indian Premier League, some players were found to be COVID-19 positive, which also led to criticism of the IPL in India.

The BCCI has also recently announced India's tour of England, in which the BCCI has issued strict guidelines, following the guidelines, if any player will found to be COVID-19 Test positive before boarding for England flight, then do not take him to England, that means will be dropped from the team, after which selected players, the team member, the family will reach England, they have to Quarantine for 10 days, after that, all the players, team members, the family will be COVID-19 tested again. The BCCI has asked all the players to take the first dose of KaviShield, and the second dose will be in England.

In the England tour, India has to play five matches of Test series with England, the first Test will be played from 4 August at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, the second Test will be played at Lord's, London from 12 August, the third Test will be played from 25 August at Headingley, Leeds, The fourth Test will be played at Kennington Oval, London from 2 September, and the fifth and final Test from 10 September at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
