Save Our Children

Hello, you remind me of an old saying from my land with your initial description of the situation: "Tell me what you brag about and I'll tell you what you lack" with which we usually summarize that arrogant and arrogant people usually have a complex of inferiority. But that also adjusts to the behavior of organizations, families, unions or countries, thus, what is presumed in excess is usually precisely what is in the most questionable situation in that social reality.

I read what you say about the students and I remember that in my country it is also something that we saw a lot about children who leave their homes before dawn and come home loaded with homework with a very short time to complete them, also that of having to carry several kilos of educational material on your back is something I was familiar with myself.

On this side of the world, during the last third of the 20th century there was an economic boost and the so-called "social ascent through education" was a path that many low-income families took, boys and girls competing in scholarship programs students since they were in initial education, until reaching university education, in fact, I myself was awarded a scholarship and the State covered my needs and educational materials for several years. I can understand the desire for this promotion, I can also understand that this creates pressure on the boys and girls, in fact, I lived it, although I was lucky that I was good at reading and understanding fast (that compensated for my physical weakness and my motor clumsiness that excluded me from any sport scholarship program) so I admit that with my introverted personality and my caring family, it was not as terrible as some boys and girls who really suffered with all the pressure and burden of work.

Today they are memories that I see distant, on this side of the world the educational system has become very relaxed (it may have relaxed too much), reaching such strange situations that if a teacher fails a student for failing in exams, he must prepare another simpler exam or you may report it to the educational office of the region. Now correcting and failing students who are not ready or who do not master the knowledge is something that teachers and professors avoid, because it brings them many problems and they may even be reported to government offices and end up with a blemish on their record administrative ... sounds crazy to me, but it's something that seems to be happening on this side of the world.

Many thanks for your careful reading and understanding of my post, just as you mentioned in your post the so-called "social ascent through education" was a path that many low-income families took, almost every student was taking or preparing to take this path. The country and the government should give guides to make everything run in a healthy way.

You are welcome.

I share the idea that a good government is one that guides the development of the country towards its maximum potential in the healthiest and most humane way possible.
