Do you know how attendance is recorded by punching the card?

A punch card is a type of card made of cardboard, which reveals digital information based on the presence and absence of holes in the top. This card is used for input, processing and storing data in unit record devices. Hermann Holliday was the first to invent the method of storing data on this card. This card is also called the Holly Ritchie card because it was first invented by Herman Hollyrith. Punchcards were used in 1801 to control design in the textile industry. Joseph Marie Jacquard of France began using punchcards in the textile industry.

The era of signing the pen in the book is no more. We are all slaves to technology now. So we need the help of science in everything like getting up, sitting down, eating and going to bed. Without science, in a word, we are useless. In the age of technology we have almost forgotten the paper pen. So now you don't have to sign the attendance register to enter the work place.

Now everything is computerized. So you have to punch the card somewhere with your fingerprint and say 'present'. But this is the card you are punching, do you know how this card works? I mean, how does your attendance get registered in the computer book when you give the card?

As you can see, there is a hard cover on the outside of your punch card. NFC or Near Field Communication is installed in that cover. It is a technology that provides information just like Bluetooth or WiFi. Your information reaches the device as soon as the card is punched through the electromagnetic field of this technology.
