The finances of FC Barcelona are bad at the moment, which has had major consequences both on and off the pitch for the Catalan big club. For the same reason, there are not the usual millions for the purchase of new players, which is why the club has to look around for transfer-free players or players at the end of their current contract.
Exactly the latter situation, AC Milan's Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie is in. He can not agree with AC Milan on a new contract and he therefore looks set to leave the Milan club.
In the last few weeks, Manchester United have been mentioned as Kessie's next destination, but now FC Barcelona are trying to cheat the English for the strong midfield engine. It writes Mundo Deportivo according to the Daily Mail. The move to Barcelona, however, is subject to him switching on a free transfer in 2022 when his contract with AC Milan expires.
